We had our first big snow here in Omaha on Saturday!!! There is nothing like a good snowstorm to put you in the Christmas spirit. Well, that and Christmas lights, ornaments, garland, and a darling little girl in her Christmas dress and red shoes!

Yellow has been my favorite color for a long time. The sun is yellow and warm and makes me happy. Daffodils are yellow and so fresh and springy...is 'springy' a word? I guess it is for me. Sunflowers are yellow and so fun and fallish. I even like the song 'Yellow' by Coldplay...I can even play it on Guitar Hero(so what if I can only play it on the easy level...ha.) I think you get the point...I am in very much LIKE with Yellow. So basically it will be no surprise that the yellow in these trees make me basically swoon!!! Put that together with a darling, talented, happy, smart, beautiful senior and I am basically in heaven!!!

As a photographer it is no secret that we are always looking (on the prowl even) for new places to take photos. We get tired of the same places that we always take pictures and just want fresh new looks for our art! This fun family took me somewhere new today and it was so fun. Maybe it helped that they were fun too. I even think dad is enjoying himself just a little getting all that attention in the last photo. Ha...so cute.

Recently a friend of mine posed a question on Facebook. Let me preface by telling you that she is a mother of 3 boys and her 4th boy on the way! She asked all moms out there if they thought it took more to wear out boys or girls? I'm not very qualified to answer her question being that I only have 1 boy. However, from my own observation I would have to say it is harder to wear out boys hands down. What do you all think...boys vs. girls?!

Is anyone else confused besides me? I realize that my title says Arizona and then is followed by Omaha Nebraska Photographer...Ha. I know, sounds kind of weird. I was fortunate enough to get to go to a workshop with one (actually 2) of my favorite photographers (Blue Lily). We were in Arizona. It was beautiful. We did an awesome session in a junk yard. I want to do another session in a junk yard. Anyone know of a good one around Omaha that would let us have a session there? I might just be able to hook someone up with some free stuff if we could figure this out. I would then love you forever as well. Leave me a comment!

I have definitely been the worst blogger ever over the last 6 months. I had started to do a 365 Blog on my family's personal blog and have failed miserably. I kept taking pictures for it...at first...but now am back logged and need to get back in the saddle.

For now it will have to wait because I can't wait to show off some of the cutest girls ever. Let's face it...all my clients are the cutest ever ;) Seriously, I have the best clients. You guys rock!

Hello Again

Happy 2011...Holy cow where in the world have these past few months gone??? Seriously I feel like I blinked and here we are in the last week of February. I guess one good thing about that is we are on the tail end of winter right? Right! It's a very good thing. We have had some much needed outside time at the park, washing cars, sweeping gravel, and just enjoying seeing the sun shine. Now I am ready for some good ole spring cleaning. I think I'll also post some fun pics from past sessions that I never got posted.

I was fortunate enough to get to spend some time with this sweet family and their new little babe. He had a full tummy, dry diaper, warm snuggly place to cuddle into, and was perfectly happy. So much so that while sound asleep he just started to belly laugh. Oh so cute...what must he be dreaming about? Do you ever wonder? I certainly do.

This sweet little girl was a little stinker but oh so cute! Who would have known? She looks like a little star. I think that once we realized, and agreed to, her agenda all was well. She just wanted to do what any child wants to do...play! She really was quite a trooper. Mom and Dad were pretty great too.

I'm pretty sure that if I blink all of the beautiful fall leaves will be gone. I am not looking forward to that day. I am not looking forward to brown twiggy leafless trees. Most of all I am not looking forward to snow. Don't get me wrong I do love snow...just not yet please. I want to enjoy fall just a little longer!!!

I loved getting to spend the evening with these guys. We even got to play in some stunning leaves. Hopefully the kids had a good time. They were really fun. Here is your sneak peek.

After that stressful and disappointing football game today I decided I needed a diversion. Which means that this sweet family gets their sneak peek! Have you ever heard the saying that "your eyes are the windows to your soul?" Sometimes I truly do believe that. I love the innocence that I see in children's eyes. These two definitely were exceptional examples of that. Not to mention they have big beautiful blue eyes that just make you melt! Thanks guys for such an enjoyable morning.

Just wanna, just wanna... what do you think? Is it true? i think it is if you are wearing a pink tutu. Aren't they just so fun and playful?! It was a great time to get to go and giggle with these cute little girls. Not to mention getting to photograph their beautiful mama. Would you even believe it if I told you that she is due to have that baby in 2 weeks or less? Yes, she is amazing!!! I can't wait to get my hands on that baby. Okay Omaha...seriously, what is the deal with all these dang mosquitos??? I feel like I need to be taking a mosquito fogging machine with me. It is out of control!!! These last few photo sessions have made me an itchy mess. This poor family were absolute troopers. I thought that the kids were going to be flown away by the little buggers. All in all it was a nice night weather wise. Here is a fun sneak peek to hold you over til we get together again!

I was so excited to have a session with these two. I had the opportunity to take their photos when they were much younger. It was great to see how much they have grown over the past few years! They were very sweet with each other, and extremely cooperative with me. The hardest thing for me was deciding which of their photos to sneak peek? I loved them all.

I couldn't decide which one I like better? Color or Black & White?

I really think that this was one of our last days of fall for 2009! The thought of that makes me a bit sad. However, I am so glad I got the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and spend some time with this great family. Seriously folks...I have never worked with kids that were this easy to take their pictures. What little gems. I hope we can get together again soon and maybe even go the park! To be perfectly honest senior photos were not my favorite to take. However, a girl is definitely en tilted to change her mind, and that I have done. This shoot was so fun. We laughed and giggled through most of it. Partly because the wind was relentless, and partly because we are just girls! Thanks Melissa for a fun shoot. I hope you loves these as much as I do.
